Welcome to Tredarrup. What better location for your holiday than in one of our two beautifully and uniquely renovated self-catering properties near North Cornwall's moorland, coast and beaches.
Tredarrup’s 18th-century self-catering barns are beautifully situated, near North Cornwall's coast and beaches, set amongst quiet farmland with fantastic views across North Cornwall's Allen Valley.
Accommodation
Mill Barn (sleeps six plus one small child) and Stable Cottage (sleeps four plus one small child) offers a peaceful holiday retreat and a perfect location for exploring Cornwall.
Renovated to retain their original character with stone walls, beams, cobbles, slate, granite and wood floors. Both have their own unique charm. They are beautifully furnished and decorated throughout with fully equipped kitchen, wood burning stove, column radiators, bathroom with freestanding bath and shower room.
Mill Barn was converted from the old farm's two-story granary store. As you enter upstairs, the large open plan living area has its original high-beamed ceiling with great views across the valley. With a well-equipped hand built country kitchen, dining area, comfy sofas, wide screen TV with free view, DVD and for those cosy winter evenings, column radiators and a wood burning stove.
There is also a separate snug room with its own DVD and video player, for games, relaxing or for children to play in.
The downstairs bedrooms consist of a main double bedroom with original granite floor and grain sill. Along the cobbled hallway are two twin rooms. At one end is a large bathroom with luxury freestanding bath on original slate floor, at the other, a large shower room with mosaic tiled shower cubicle.
For young families the stairs can be blocked off with purpose built wooden shutters. Fire guards are supplied and we can provide a travel cot and high chair. The property is equipped with children's table and chairs, plastic crockery and cutlery, games and much more.
Mill Barn has its own outdoor covered terrace. With cobbled floor and old slate roof it looks out across our cattle and fields towards the coast. Adjacent is a grassy area to kick a football or enjoy the outdoor games we provide and alongside is our own small private woodland. Parking for 3 cars close by. Recycling facilities provided.
Stable Cottage, once the old stable block. As you enter the cobbled hallway turns to a large open plan living area with its original high-beamed ceiling and granite floor. For young families we provide soft floor matting for indoor and out, and travel cot and high chair. We supply fire guards and the property is equipped with children's table and chairs, plastic crockery and cutlery, games and much more.
Stable Cottage has its own outdoor terrace area, in the courtyard, with access to a grassy area, where you can enjoy our outdoor games, and our own private woodland. Parking for 2 cars close by. Recycling facilities provided.
Between the properties we have a utility room with washing machine and drying facilities – airers, washing line/pegs, dryer. You can also wash and dry muddy boots, waterproofs and wetsuits.
Within easy reach of the North Cornish Coast, surfing at Polzeath, sailing or fishing at Rock, sand castles at Daymer Bay, cycling along the famous Camel Trail, moorland and coastal walks.
Nearby are Padstow, Boscastle, Bodmin Moor and the historic fishing village of Port Issac. Only half an hour from the Eden Project and 40 minutes from The Lost Gardens of Heligan. St Teath, the local village, has a grocery store and a pub with good food

Julie and Alex your barn is beautiful and so homely, we couldn't wait to come back! - we were not disappointed! From the warm welcome (lovely choc cake & wine not to mention lovely fresh eggs) to the way everyone (human or animal!) is with the children - we couldn't have asked for more! We LOVE this place and will be wanting to come here for years to come I'm sure! Thank you so much for your hospitality, hope to see you soon!!
What a hidden gem in such beautiful countryside. Wonderful place, smashing hosts and nice surprises in chocolate cake and wine – more than appreciated. We have had a fantastic time at Mill Barn and will return in near future. Thank you once again.
