Cornwall is the perfect holiday destination for those wishing to get away from it all. This southern most part of England enjoys the mildest climate, the cleanest waters and stunning scenery. There is so much to do for everyone you may choose simply relax and enjoy Cornwall’s spendour or enjoy the history of tin mining or the history of ancient civilisations; bird watching or dolphin watching – Cornwall has it all.
It is a county shrouded in mystery and magic. Legends of pixies and ghosts; murderers and highwaymen and of course the most famous of all – King Arthur. Visit Merlin’s Cave and the Castle ruins at Tintagel, where the legend begins and Dozmary Pool on Bodmin Moor where Arthur is said to have flung Excalibur into the waiting hand of the Lady of the lake.
The rocky peninsular that is Cornwall has unrivalled natural beauty. Much of the countryside is unchanged since medieval times, green valleys, mixed forest, the wilderness of Bodmin Moor, the pretty coves of the South coast and the savagery of the ocean waves breaking on the rocks on the North coast, where great surfing beaches are to be found.

Find out about how Eden was built...
If you believe there should be a place...
... that celebrates life and puts champagne in the veins
...is all about education but doesn't feel like school
...to hold conversations that might just go somewhere
...where research isn't white coats in secret but shared exploration to help us all
...that is a sanctuary for all who think the future too precious to leave to the few - because it belongs to us all.

Surfing in Cornwall
Newquay is the capital of England's surfing scene with 11 beaches stretching over seven miles of golden sand, so it is not surprising that this one-time fishing village has transformed itself into the surfer's paradise.
The National Surfing Centre, Fistral Beach and the B.S.A. Surf School, Lusty Glaze Beach are owned and run directly by the British Surfing Association. (B.S.A.).
You can be assured of the highest standards of coaching, safety and equipment.
For information on any possible delays or roadwork's throughout the UK or in Cornwall visit www.bbc.co.uk/travelnews
Please note that at peak times, particularly in the summer months, we recommend that where possible visitors should avoid travelling to Cornwall at weekends when traffic on the A30 over Goss Moor (just west of Bodmin) can be extremely busy.
Where visitors have no alternative but to travel at the weekend, consider driving to Cornwall overnight to avoid possible delays.
